16-18 Bursary

The Dinnington High School 16-18 Bursary Policy is now available for you to view by following link http://www.dcsch.co.uk/…/DHS%2016%20-%2019%20Bursary%20Fund… All applications for the next academic year need to be submitted to our Finance Department by Friday 26th June 2015 . If you are unsure to whether you are eligible for the Bursary or you have received several Post 16 offers, our advice is to still apply as you do not want to potentially miss out.

Important announcement regarding the Headteacher role at Dinnington High School

​The Governing Body would like to proudly announce that after a rigorous process that involved two rounds of applications from external candidates they have elected to appoint the current Deputies Mr Chris Eccles and Mr Ian Holborn as Co-Headteachers of Dinnington High School. Co-headship is a model of leadership growing in education as the challenges of complexities of school leadership increase.

After interviewing them both separately and jointly after a detailed presentation, the panel of Governors unanimously agreed that this was the best way forward for our school. The two leaders have been integral to the progress of the school over the last 8 years and are best placed to build on this good work and take the school forward in an evolutionary but not revolutionary way with a vision which is based on the core values that have been integral to the school over the last few years under the leadership of Mr Paul Blackwell.

In the first instance they will have a 2 year contract, with the model of leadership and its success reviewed in January 2017.

We are confident that our new Headteachers with the full support of their staff, students, parents/carers and wider community will make this a resounding success and bring continued high quality education and opportunities to the young people they serve.
I am sure you will join with us in congratulating them and wishing them both every success in their new role which will commence September 2015.  Until then Mr Paul Blackwell will continue to fulfil his role of Headteacher until his retirement on the 31st August 2015.

Music Relief 2015!

Unfortunately due to low ticket sales the decision has been made to postpone our Music Relief concert on Thursday 26th of March 2015. The concert will be rescheduled for a date in the summer, further information to follow. For those who have already purchased tickets these will move across to the rescheduled date, however if you would like a refund when the rescheduled date is announced please contact our school finance office on 01909 550066. We are very sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause and we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
