The school does not condone the misuse of drugs or alcohol by members of the school, and the illegal supply of these substances.  Consequently severe action will be taken in all cases.

Our policy is as follows:

“All exclusions for drug-related incidents will result in the student and parents meeting with a panel of governors and community police.”

• Any student in possession of or personally using illegal substances on school premises will be excluded for a fixed term.  The exclusion would be significantly increased and could lead to permanent exclusion if caught on a subsequent occasion.
• Any student caught dealing in drugs will be referred to the police and the school will take further action, including possible permanent exclusion.
• Any student caught dealing in illegal substances on a subsequent occasion, would normally face permanent exclusion.
• On any occasion where students are identified in a drugs-related incident, parents will be informed.
