In line with relevant Government legislation and the Code of Practice 2001, the governing body has a policy on students with special educational needs. The intention is to ensure that all students have access to a 'fair and proper provision' that enables them to access the curriculum and make progress.
In most cases, students are catered for via mainstream classes. However, we recognise the need for a minority of students to be withdrawn and taught in 'booster' classes. Wherever possible, this will be for a short period of time.
