Dinnington Comprehensive School has a policy for Educational Visits which supplements the RMBC Local Authority Circular 146. 

Before planning a visit, staff must see the Head teacher to informally request verbal agreement for the visit to go ahead.  Agreement must be sought at least 5 weeks before the visit.  However, if the visit involves a residential, agreement must be sought at least 6-months in advance.  Educational Visits will only receive final approval on completion of all the necessary documentation required in the LA Circular 146 guidelines.
